The UDVC LBT is advocacy focused and provides a good education on domestic violence for anyone who wants to understand more about the issue. Our participants usually include: Police officers, systems-based victim advocates, community - based victim advocates, counselors, faith leaders, medical professionals, Department of Human Services employees, attorneys, judges, activists, students, educators, interpreters, and others. Training not only educates, but also provides opportunities for networking and coalition building locally and statewide, that are critical to our work. This training qualifies for 21.5 hours of the required 24 pre-service hours of training for those interested in becoming a licensed domestic violence counselor.
