Troubleshooting: Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Do you have pop-up blocking software—or does your browser block pop-up windows?

    If so, go into your pop-up blocker or browser and allow this e-learning site to use pop-ups.

  2. What browser are you using? Are you using a Mac or PC

    Please note that the technology supports the following browsers, all of which are free. (The links below lead directly to sites where the browser can be downloaded for free.)

  3. Is your browser updated? You may experience trouble if you are using an un-patched version of the browser.

    Safari Mac OS X automatically checks weekly for software updates provided you have an Internet connection. Users can also check manually through the Software Update feature of their System Preferences.

  4. How are you connecting to the Internet (e.g., modem, DSL)?

    If you have a very slow connection speed, it may take time for all the images to load, and this can sometimes look like an error. The answer here is patience. You will experience this only if they are on a dial up modem or on pages with very large graphics or videos. We have designed this course to be as efficient as possible in loading pages, but if you have a very slow connection, you may experience delay in loading all the page elements.
